Radiocarbon dating of artifacts in Horseshoe Canyon suggests that these petroglyphs were created between 2000 and 7000 years ago. The style of rock art depicted on this panel, known as Barrier Canyon style, is thought to be the handiwork of the Desert Archaic culture. The largest figure on the panel is over eight feet tall.
